I’m not calling it “SI” unless everyone really starts calling it that.
But I’m all in on AI.
I’m using Gemini (Pro) at work because my company gives me it. I’m using ChatGPT on my iPhone and pushing it to it’s limits on simple tasks. I’m using Gemini on my phone with my personal Gmail …which I also have baked into the dashboard of my new Buick and that’s kinda blowin’ my mind.
The newest edition to my personal AI adventure is Facebook’s Muse.
What do I think of Muse, so far?
Right away, Muse is impressing me more than any of the others for it’s “personal assistant” ability. I gave Muse access to my Work calendar, my personal Google Calendar, the Calendar on my iPhone and all my iPhone contacts.
Muse is reminding me of things … like my credit card payment is due 10/13. My parents anniversary is this Wednesday. I asked it, “remind me later tonight to turn my mulch pile” . . . and it reminded me.
Plus, Muse can login to my LinkedIn and XTwitter and post what I want it to post there. Naturally it easily posts updates to Facebook and Instagram.
What I Don’t Do with Muse?
I avoid Anthropomorphism. I don’t say “please” or “thank you” or think of AI as anything other than an answer.
A recent Podcast from Cal Newport agreed with me and it’s when we start thinking of AI as a something with a personality or judgement is when we get in trouble.
RIght now, if I’m ranking AIs … I’m going with…
#1 – Muse
#2 – Gemini Pro
#3 – Gemini
#4 – ChatGPT
Why Am I All-In on AI?
I think AI is incredible and while everyone is arguing the good v. bad or talking about how it makes us dumb or lazy or debate whether it can end the world or is harmful to kids … all of which are discussions we need to have … but for me, while everyone is talking about that, I’m trying to figure out how it can ACTUALLY make my life better.
I have a 2019 Buick and the doors are closing hard. So I asked what I can use to lubricate the doors and show me where the hinges are. Muse did it.
ChatGPT read me an article while I was driving to work.
Gemini gave me two really good spinach dip recipes without all the long Blog garbage.
For me, it’s not and “if” or “when” AI will be here … it is here and I like to early adopt.
Get busy AI’n or get busy dyin’.
