I write about American Idol. I write about The Bachelor, The Bachelorette, and Bachelor Pad. I tell my writing clients I need only 1/2-hour per day to give them blogs, Facebook pages, and Twitter accounts full of engaging content and interesting things. But the truth is, I need more than that. I need about a half-hour to get warmed up. Then a few minutes to get energized and get the creative juices flowing. Here’s how I get amped up to write.
Panic is what, eventually and finally, motivates me. Any ideas how to fix that? How can you create the sense of panic and the level of creation that comes from panic without actually panicking?
