Here are some hacks, systems, and routines that improve my life. Time is fleeting, so I try not to waste it doing trivial things for too long. Also, it allows me to pack more things into less time.
Shower Quickly: Maximum time in the shower should be 3-minutes, but usually I can do it in 2-minutes or less. The morning cold-shower, because it’s a “fight with the shower” can take 3-minutes if you lack bravery on some mornings (which is common). Evening quick-hot-shower can literally be less than a minute. If your shower take a minute to heat up, run a stop watch on that, too. Do sit-ups or a plank, or a chore, while waiting for the hot water.
Cold Shower in the Morning: Science tells us great things about cold showers.
Hot Shower right before bed: As close as you can before bed, take as hot a shower as you can (or dip in your hot tub if you have one).
