Signature Brands

New and starting in 2025 … I will determine my “signature brands.”  Some already exist and everyone (my family) knows them. Like…

Jeans = Levi’s. Coffee = Chazzano. Walking and exercise shoes = Asics. Everyday beer = Molsen. Clothing brand = Life is Good.

I’m sure I have more “signature brands”, but not enough.  Like, what’s my signature hair product? Dapper Dan?  Brylcream? Am I known for my scent and cologne?  Do I have a favorite pen (yes, I do, actually .. Sharpie S-Gel 7mm).

We’re too easily influenced and prone to flights-of-fancy and something new and shiny. Amiright?  Two reasons for this.

  1. Forces me to define myself and choose a path. Flitting from brand to brand shows I’m 100% under the influence of others (marketing, advertising, Influencers).
  2. Simplifies decision-making time. I don’t know about you, but I’ve spent untold and countless hours “researching” a product, but only for a season or until the next, best product comes along and then I’ll research that product for hours. Shameful. So much wasted time and “time” is our most limited resource. If I commit to a signature brand  …poof …I’m going to save time and mental energy.

And so here we go . . . we’re going to start with my new signature shaving cream.

SIGNATURE SHAVING CREAMAveeno Therapeutic Shave Gel with Oat for Dry Skin

For the longest time, I thought Trader Joe’s Moisturizing Cream Shave was my facial savior. But, in late 2024, Trader Joe’s discontinued it. There’s also a shaving how-to for anyone who just thinks shaving is a chore that needs to be done as quickly as possible out of necessity when it should be a ritual.
